A NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration doctor told Richard Garriott his eyesight meant he’d never be a NASA astronaut. So he helped build a private route to space and made it to the ISS in 2008. ​

Huge milestone for Griffin-1! ​

Our team has officially completed all planned system-level acceptance tests ahead of launch, including a multi-week thermal vacuum (TVAC) campaign that validated the vehicle's thermal performance.

Next up: Griffin is in Pittsburgh, where it'll have the axial and ACS engines integrated before launch. ​

Griffin-1 is home in Pittsburgh. ​

After overnight stops outside Indianapolis and Columbus, Griffin-1 has arrived. ​

This lander was built right here in Pittsburgh, and it’s about to head to the Moon. Before that happens, it’s back for final integration. Our team has been working hard on Griffin-1 and it’s good to see it again.​
