Take a look at this. That's rust forming on an AC coil — and it's a bigger deal than most people realize. 👇

Your coils are responsible for the heat exchange that makes your AC actually cool your home. When rust and corrosion start eating away at them, a few things happen:

🔴 The coil weakens and develops micro-cracks
🔴 Refrigerant starts leaking out through those cracks

Pop quiz — do you know your home's water pressure? This gauge reads 60 PSI, which is right in the ideal range. But a lot of homes aren't this dialed in. 👇

Here's what the numbers mean:

⬇️ Under 40 PSI — Too low. Your showers feel weak, appliances fill slowly, and your garden hose is basically useless. Check if your main shut-off valve is fully open — sometimes it's that simple.

✅ 40–60 PSI — The sweet spot. This is the ideal operating range for your home's plumbing. Safe, balanced, and everything works the way it should.

⚠️ 60–80 PSI — Acceptable, but on the higher side. Building codes allow up to 80, but you're putting more stress on your system than you need to.

🚨 Over 80 PSI — Too high. At this point you're risking damage to your pipes, valves, fixtures, and any connected appliances. You need a pressure-reducing valve installed or adjusted before something gives.

Want to test yours at home? It's easy:

1️⃣ Grab a screw-on water pressure gauge from any hardware store — they're only a few bucks
2️⃣ Make sure no water is running inside — no sprinklers, no appliances, nothing
3️⃣ Remove the garden hose from an outside spigot
4️⃣ Screw the gauge on tight
5️⃣ Turn the spigot all the way on and read the dial

Takes about 30 seconds and tells you exactly where your home stands.

Take a good look at this. Both filters. Same house. Same 90 days. 😬

The one on the left is what your furnace has been breathing through — and if yours looks anything like that, your system is working way harder than it needs to. That means higher energy bills, more wear and tear, and dirtier air circulating through your home.

The general rule is to change your filter every 1–3 months. But here's what a lot of people don't realize — your home might need it changed more often:

🐾 Pets — Dog and cat hair and dander clog filters fast. If you've got furry family members, check your filter monthly.
👟 High foot traffic — More people in and out means more dust, dirt, and debris getting tracked in and pulled into your system.
