Multiple Saturday activities at the Denver Campus today. OSHA 10hr class and certification, Grading Activities from day time training, new concrete steps, NEBB air and water testing and full parking lots. Members continuing education and getting the skills needed for the workforce.

1st Year B class in Denver has been studying and applying the Fire Life Safety Damper Technician lessons over the last four weeks. Tonight they are completing the classroom test and then moving toward certification applications in the coming weeks.

Today we are hosting the annual ASHRAE luncheon with ASHRAE and SMACNA members in attendance learning about large duct construction and pressure testing.

March Union meeting with 1st year B class and another 30 to 40 members in attendance. A lot happening in the Local as of late, make sure you are attending the monthly meetings for updates.

Last night we hosted the apprentice committee and they had some retired and current members come and talk to them about the history of the Colorado apprenticeship. The burdens they faced coming up through down economy's, apprenticeship changes in curriculum and schooling shifts from early on at Emily Griffith, the multiple regional councils, the shift from the 4 year to 5 year programs at night and then implementing the daytime training program.
