HERE'S WHAT YOU CAN DO NOW - LINKS IN MY STORY

If you don't have gutter extensions, get them. Your primary goal should be to get water AWAY from your foundation.

If you're experiencing flooding in your basement:

1. Use a shop vac *without the filter* to vacuum your carpets/standing water

2. Peel back your carpets/flooring, if possible

3. Use fans to dry the space - you can buy or rent "restoration fans" from Depot

If your window wells are full/flooding, use buckets or a submersible pump to clear them out

Your homeowner's insurance may or may not cover basement flooding, depending on your policy. Reach out to your agent or company to determine your coverage!

While I didn't manage to get a group shot (despite our looking FAB), we had a great time at the 'Retro'vation Show yesterday!

My weird idea of a booth came together beautifully, and I had a great time presenting on Responsibly DIY-ing a project vs what to look for in a pro!

We will be at in ONE WEEK at the Home Retrovation Show AND I'll be dusting off my old public speaking shoes, as one of the keynote speakers (focusing on responsibly DIY-ing vs hiring a pro)!

Naturally, instead of just using a table for the booth, we're building a selfie station, with a complete tub and vintage-inspired surround, which we're working on, ya know, today.
