- Applied Vehicle Dynamics Seminar: From designing a new car concept or exploiting an existing design, you’ll learn applied vehicle dynamics for car design, simulation, manufacturing, preparation, testing, and development.
- Data-Driven Performance Engineering Seminar: We’ll start with an overview of what data-driven performance is and how to make decisions based on a data-driven approach. You’ll discover the difference between experience by itself and backing that experience up with data.

This year, OptimumG sponsored Formula SAE Brazil for the first time, marking our first experience supporting a Formula SAE event and a student engineering competition. And we can confidently say: it was an experience worth having.

Meeting so many talented and passionate students was a highlight in itself. But beyond connecting with the next generation of engineers, we wanted to contribute something meaningful to their development and to the advancement of vehicle dynamics.

That’s why we introduced the OptimumG Vehicle Dynamics Simulation Excellence Award.

For this initiative, student teams were invited to submit vehicle dynamics simulations developed by their own members. We evaluated each submission based on five criteria: usefulness, meaningfulness, validation, complexity, and software quality.

The two finalist teams were then invited to present their projects to the audience, sharing not only their work but also the knowledge and engineering thought process behind it.

It was a great opportunity to see these students demonstrate how vehicle dynamics simulation can be applied to better understand vehicle behavior and improve performance.

Congratulations to Unicamp E-Racing and EESC-USP for being selected as finalists and for the quality of their projects and presentations!

We’re proud to have supported this initiative and grateful to everyone who made this first experience possible.

Did you know your suspension kinematics could be doing the exact opposite of what you intended? It often comes down to understanding how your roll and pitch axes behave dynamically.

In this Tips & Tricks video, Lucca shows how to easily visualize these axes in OptimumKinematics during vehicle movement.

How to enable it:
- Go to File on the top left
- Select Options
- Click Display
- Select Roll Axis and Pitch Axis

Why this matters for your setup:
- Kinematics is a curve, not a static point.
- The geometry changes as the car moves.
- Axis movement dictates the split between geometric and elastic load transfer.
- The distance from the center of gravity directly impacts roll and pitch inertia.
- It affects your jacking forces.

Understanding this behavior allows you to maximize grip, balance, and stability.

Some 2026 Formula Student pictures so far...

Our president, Claude Rouelle, participated as a vehicle dynamics judge at Formula SAE Brasil, Formula Student Germany, Formula Student Alpe Adria, and Formula Student France. 4 only this year, more than 160 in 28 years.

Formula Student is a very important part of OptimumG. We really value our interaction with students and the opportunity to contribute to their education as engineers.

At the beginning of the month, part of the OptimumG team was present at the WEC Race Rolex 6h of São Paulo.

We had the opportunity to talk with a lot of engineers, discuss their strategies, and explore what solutions they are using to improve their car's performance (by the way, you can see some of the wonderful people we met in the post).

In a long race like this, your team must be strongly aligned with the correct goals, checking the right data and acting as fast as possible. In a 4-day seminar with 10h/day of content, reviewing the topics from time to time is part of the learning process.

The German psychologist Hermann Ebbinghaus conducted the first experiments testing his own memory in 1885. He demonstrated that we lose about 50% of new information within the first few hours if we do not review it, thereby establishing the need for spaced repetition.
