IME is incredibly proud to announce that our marketing team took home two Colorado Marketing Excellence Awards: Best DEI Communications and Best Special Event – Mixed Media. 🏆 🏆

These awards validate a conscious decision by our team to align our marketing and communications strategy directly with core business needs to help drive organization transformation. In planning the celebration of our new headquarters milestone, we rejected traditional event playbooks to focus on a layered strategy of brand awareness, partnership & growth, workforce sustainability and diversity as drivers for operational excellence.

While this was a marketing initiative for IME, the true objective was to create a forum for our industry to initiate and lead real change and, help inform our DEI strategy. By transforming our fabrication floor into a space for candid open conversation on workforce sustainability, we chose to address a critical market challenge head-on.

A massive congratulations to our marketing team Madonna and Haley for their vision and ex*****on, and a sincere thank you to the panelists and industry partners who joined us to look toward the future of the trades.

Thank you to SMPS Colorado for the recognition.

Last year, IME made a commitment to strengthening pathways into our industry for underrepresented groups and last week was a great example of what that looks like in action.

In partnership with and , we hosted a Trades Career Day at IME for students, career changers, and people simply curious about the opportunities within construction.

One of the biggest misconceptions about this industry is that trades and college pathways sit on opposite sides of the fence. The reality is, construction needs builders, thinkers, planners, problem-solvers, technical minds, leaders, and people willing to learn. There’s more than one way into this industry — and more than one future waiting in it.

We were incredibly proud of the IME team members who volunteered to showcase what we do across the business — from the field to operations, preconstruction and estimating, and BIM.

There may have been some healthy competition between the BIM and Estimating teams over who had the coolest setup. As impartial observers, Marketing feels obligated to remain neutral… but BIM did bring some very impressive models of seriously cool projects, while Estimating & Precon brought peak personality, a slide show and crowd engagement. So, we’re calling it a tie. (Although… if BIM had rolled out the VR headset, this may have been a different conversation!)

IME will continue making sure the people representing our company at these events are the people who embody the IME Way — because future electricians, estimators, project managers, coordinators, and leaders deserve to see what this industry can really look like.

🫶 Big thanks to Sean, Jeanette, Alicia, Jonathan, Tyler, John and Nathan for sharing what they do at IME and our recruitment and marketing teams pulling this important event together.

More Good Days. Together.

This month, IME is recognizing ’s Mental Health Awareness Month theme with a series of activities focused on creating more good days for our people — one small step at a time.

And in an industry like construction, those conversations matter. Construction workers face some of the highest rates of stress, burnout, and mental health challenges across any industry, which is why creating space for connection, support, and everyday wellbeing is so important.

At the start of the month, we asked our teams a simple question:
What does a good day look like to you?

The answers were pretty relatable — sunshine, hobbies, time with family, staying healthy… and yes, puppies and wine definitely made the list.

Yesterday, our office and project teams took a simple step toward more good days by getting outside for a walk together in the sunshine.

And judging by the smiles, laughter, conversations, and photos from across our offices and project sites… it was time well spent.

Sometimes the small things really do make the difference.

Some people manage projects. The great ones work at IME!

We’re hiring Project Managers in:
Water | Windsor, CO
Federal | Denver, CO
Mission Critical | Cheyenne, WY
VDV / Low Voltage | Omaha, NE

We’re looking for PMs who know how to keep the work moving: clear communication, field coordination, client trust, follow-through, and the judgment to see what needs attention before it becomes an issue.

IME offers competitive pay, strong benefits, solid teams, and the chance to work on projects that matter.

Our PMs know how to lead the work without making a production out of it. Like, Justin - he does that every day in Service and Special Projects, where the scopes move fast, the clients vary, responsiveness is critical and the details matter. He also brings a healthy amount of self-appointed charity clay shoot coordination to the team, and honestly, we respect it.

Good work. Good people. A little spark.

Last weekend, IME had teams out in full force across Northern Colorado supporting two great causes and representing our community partnerships proudly.

Our Windsor office has deep ties across Northern Colorado, and weekends like this are a good reminder of what local support looks like in action.

Dane, Mike, and Madonna got dressed for the occasion at the Derby Party, while Justin, Zach, Mike, Roger, Tyler, Rob and Mike took part in The Maverick Clay Shoot supporting .

We’re proud to support organizations that bring people together, invest in local communities, and create opportunities for others — and even prouder of the IME team members who show up in their downtime and get involved.

A big thanks to everyone who participated, supported, and represented IME throughout the weekend.

You’ve probably been in a hospital, an airport, a stadium…
Ever thought about who actually builds that?

IME is hosting a Construction Trades Open House with and and you're invited!

This is an industry built for people who like to think, build, figure things out, and see real results. Some are hands-on. Some are technical. Some are coordinating the whole thing behind the scenes.

From the trades in the field to BIM, Safety, Operations, HR, Finance and even executive leadership — it all comes together to deliver complex projects that people rely on every day.

We love working in the Construction Industry! It’s well-paid, steady work with real progression — and a lot more variety than most expect.

If you’re a student or curious about changing careers, come take a look.

Bring Your Kid to Work Day at IME ⚡

We had a full house this year — and a full day of hands-on learning, curiosity, and a bit of chaos (the good kind).

From stepping into BIM with VR goggles and exploring models on iPads, to creating custom name tags on the laser cutter, our future builders got a real look at what we do — and why it matters.

They put their problem-solving skills to work with Electrical Bingo, made s’mores using solar ovens (science + snacks = win), and even planted flowers to tie into Earth Day.

And yes — pizza lunch with the team was a clear highlight.

What made the day stand out wasn’t just the activities — it was the chance for kids to experience it alongside their parents. To see firsthand what a day in this industry looks like, beyond the job titles.

Because the reality is, construction isn’t just hard hats and job sites. It’s creativity, technology, problem-solving, and building things that actually matter.

Big thanks to Khara Erickson for organizing the day, and to all our volunteers who guided, explained, and wrangled the next generation through every activity.

We’re proud to celebrate Charles Harding’s 25-year anniversary with IME, a milestone that reflects the kind of impact that strengthens an entire organization.

Starting as a foreman in 2001 and progressing up through the ranks to become Director of Safety, Charles has played a key role in shaping IME’s safety culture, helping teams better identify risk, look out for one another, and approach the work with a people-first mindset. His contributions range from advancing mental health initiatives and leading our involvement in Stop the Drop, to training employees in critical safety practices and introducing tools like QR-based access to safety resources.

His influence extends beyond our job sites as well, supporting community outreach and sharing knowledge across the industry.

Charles’s leadership and commitment continue to drive real results, strengthening our teams, enhancing our performance, and improving the way we care for our people.

Thank you, Charles, for 25 years of dedication and impact at IME!👏

Out of the office, into the community 💪

Our team had a blast volunteering with Food Bank of the Rockies - packing, sorting, and doing our part to support the incredible work they do every day.

Good people, good energy, and a chance to give back together… doesn’t get much better than that.

Participant, Alex Caron, said, “I like giving back. I'm blessed to be where I am in life and think it's important to help the less fortunate. I really enjoy what we do at the Food Bank and love that IME is involved. It's a fun atmosphere and it's cool how everyone comes together to help. I also enjoy finding out how many pounds of food/items we have packed in such a short time!”

At IME, we value opportunities to make a real impact in the communities where we live and work. That’s why we offer paid volunteer time and create opportunities like this throughout the year, because showing up for our communities matters just as much as showing up for the job.
