Construction is underway on the Continental Tire mixing building in Mount Pleasant, Iowa.

PDM is proud to partner with Opus to provide precast and steel for this three-story manufacturing facility, which will support the production of tire components. The project includes nearly 600 precast pieces, with the tallest portions of the structure reaching more than 92 feet above grade.

The design blends modern amenities with the character of the East Village, creating spaces that support both residents and the neighborhood, including a restaurant on the ground floor and 132 apartments.

PDM is proud to partner with ACE Mentor Program of Iowa, giving students an opportunity to learn more about careers in architecture, construction, and engineering.

As summer comes to a close, we’re recognizing our 2026 intern class before they head back to campus.

From engineering and project support to production, this group spent the summer gaining hands-on experience, building new skills, and contributing across PDM. We’re grateful they chose to spend part of their journey with us.

Union at River’s Edge adds 216 new residential units just south of downtown Des Moines.

PDM provided both precast and steel for the project, including 801 total pieces of precast — wall panels, columns, beams, solid slabs, and 460 hollowcore planks — and 57.6 tons of structural and miscellaneous steel.

We’re proud to have contributed to this multi-family development alongside The Annex Group, ASK Studio, and Raker Rhodes Engineering.

Summer is the best time for a little fun outside of work.

Our employee-owners and their families got together at Adventureland for this year’s summer party. We spent the day enjoying the rides, cooling off at the waterpark, soaking up the sunshine, and sharing great food and even better company.

A closer look at the completed DART Operations and Maintenance Facility in Des Moines. PDM supplied both the precast concrete and structural steel scope for the project — and it’s one we’ve had the opportunity to watch take shape right down the road from our precast facility.

A finished look at Kemin Industries’ central warehouse, a facility designed to support both operations and people, features PDM’s precast and steel scope throughout.

The space brings together office areas, locker rooms, wellness rooms, and social spaces.

We’re grateful to have worked alongside Ryan Companies US, Inc., and Raker Rhodes Engineering on this project.
