A critical part of Detroit Edge Tool Company’s capabilities, is surface hardening, performed by our Michigan Flame division, often our unsung heroes making it happen behind the scenes!

Recently, we welcomed customer’s supporting our US military to witness the heat-treating process of one of our machine rails, soon to be used in military manufacturing.

It’s a great opportunity to showcase the specialized processes, precision, and expertise that go into producing components for demanding applications that require surface hardened parts ensuring longer lasting durability of the wear parts.

Manufacturing Day was celebrated on October 2nd, kicking off Manufacturing Month—and Detroit Edge Tool would like to recognize the hardworking people who keep American manufacturing moving forward.

From the machinists and welders on the shop floor to the engineers, support staff, and leadership behind the scenes, it takes an entire team to build quality products and keep industry moving.

At Detroit Edge Tool, we’re proud to be part of Michigan’s rich manufacturing heritage and to carry that tradition forward through precision machining, skilled craftsmanship, innovation, and generations of experience.

Our team had a fantastic time at the Detroit Edge employee outing last night, cheering on the Royal Oak Leprechauns! ⚾🍀

The Leprechauns are owned and coached by two-time MLB batting champion and former New York Yankee DJ LeMahieu, making the evening even more special.

Great weather, great company, and a big 12–7 Leprechauns victory made for an outstanding night. Events like these are a great reminder that the best teams are built both on and off the job.

Thanks to everyone who joined us—we're already looking forward to the next outing!

Detroit Edge Tool has partnered with the City of Detroit and the Detroit Economic Growth Corporation (DEGC) to secure loan and grant funding that supports business reinvestment, workforce expansion, networking opportunities, and connections with vendors and partners across the city. This collaboration helps strengthen our operations and supports our long-term growth within Detroit's business community.
