👑🎬 LET US INTRODUCE YOU TO A DETROIT BOSS WHO UNDERSTANDS THE ASSIGNMENT!

Some people wait for Hollywood to discover them. Others get tired of waiting and create their OWN Hollywood. 😂

Meet Tia Blaque LaTia S Matthews, a woman who apparently looked at the entertainment industry and decided one job title simply wasn't enough!

Writer. Director. Executive Producer. Actress. Storyteller. BOSS.💅🏾

With an impressive catalog of independent film projects, including In All the Wrong Places, Kayla, Energy, and Silent Scream, she's not just appearing in productions. She's helping create, direct, and bring them to life.

And apparently, the award committees have been paying attention! 🏆

Her reported achievements include multiple 2024 independent film honors and four 2026 Podscars nominations, followed by a reported THREE wins for Best Movie, Best Actress, and Best Supporting Actress!

But here's what impresses me most: She's building her own platform, telling her own stories, and creating opportunities without waiting for somebody else's permission or investment.

Now THAT'S the part I respect!

Because being a BOSS isn't just about having your name in the credits. It's about having the vision, taking the risks, doing the work, and owning what you build.

Detroit doesn't just produce talent. We produce people who know what to DO with it!👑

Congratulations, Tia Blaque! Keep building, keep creating, and keep reminding folks that sometimes the person they're waiting to give them an opportunity is staring right back at them in the mirror.

Real Stories. Raw Emotions. Powerful Cinema.

And apparently, a little room on the shelf for more trophies! 🏆😂

Tomorrow she will join us at The Collective Detroit for Free Food Fridays.
