Job Responsibilities

Performs a variety of assembly operations and processes to make completed driveshafts using hand tools, jigs, fixtures, light power tools and equipment.

Compares system components to customer orders and bills of material to assure completeness of system or components.
Exercises responsibility for quantity and quality of product.
Fits, aligns, calibrates and adjusts parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating equipment.
Visually inspects parts to standards, repairs units and products that fail to meet requirements or returns flawed products for rework.
As necessary, resolves mechanical or hydraulic problems encountered during assembly.
Performs routine maintenance on equipment as necessary.
Performs all position responsibilities in a safe manner and in accordance with all prescribed time schedules.
Supports total quality management objectives in a team environment.
Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications & Skills

High school diploma or GED.
Six months of manufacturing experience preferred.
Familiarity with quality assurance and light computer skills desired.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively and stand for approximately 90% of time.
Able to read a tape measure and micrometer.
Able to read and understand process work instructions.
Ability and willingness to make suggestions to supervisor as to changes or improvements to be made in product or work area.
Above average attendance record.
Must be able to work overtime, off-shifts, weekends, holidays and shutdowns when necessary.
Good attitude with co-workers and toward job responsibilities.

-Operate specialty machinery to fabricate, manufacture, assemble automotive products
-Maintain and monitor various machines to make sure they function properly
-Understanding of how operated machine works while conducting quality checks periodically
-Verify adequate materials and supplies are available to complete operations as needed and analyze machine operations and output if applicable
-Adjust machine as needed for changeovers, different functions, or other varying needs of production
-Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment

-Pays close attention to detail.
-Exhibits ability to work cautiously but efficiently in potentially hazardous conditions.
-Is familiar with all factory safety procedures and guidelines.
-Demonstrates ability to use power tools safely and effectively.
-Works efficiently and manages time effectively.
-Possesses physical strength and stamina required to stand, walk, and lift for long periods of time.
-Possesses physical dexterity necessary to assemble small and delicate product parts.

Education and Experience:
-Previous experience in factory or warehouse setting is recommended.

Work Environment:
-Working hours will be spent in the factory or warehouse.
-Moderate to heavy physical activity such as walking, and lifting is required on a daily basis.
Individuals may be required to handle or transport hazardous chemicals or fragile products.
-Safety gear, such as goggles, gloves, and helmets should be worn on a regular basis.

A Machinist/Operator operates computer numerical control machines to fabricate parts. The CNC operator loads parts in the machine, cycles machine, and detects malfunctions in machine operations, such as worn or damaged cutting tools. CNC operators maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
· Performs all assigned machine shop operations.
· Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to management or designee.
· Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures.
· Regularly performs milling, turning, drilling, and tapping tasks.
· Performs inspection of machined products, and documents results.
· Completes and maintains paperwork for parts.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a non-exempt, full-time position (40 hours per week) with three different shift types:

· 1st shift: 7am-3:30pm
· 2nd shift: 3:15pm-11:45pm
· 3rd shift: 11:30pm-7:45pm

Eligibility Qualifications
· High school diploma or graduation from a certified technical school preferred
· Understanding of production procedures
· Physical stamina and strength
· May be required to lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds
