Birch Creek Overhead-to-Underground Conversion Project

Vigilante Electric would like to inform members and visitors that our contracting crew, Apex Line Contractors, will begin an overhead-to-underground power line conversion project along Birch Creek Road starting Monday, June 8.

Construction is expected to last approximately six weeks. Crews will be working Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Please use caution when traveling through the area and be prepared for equipment, utility vehicles, and workers along the roadway. Birch Creek Road is a narrow gravel road, so we ask everyone to:

• Slow down and watch for line crews and equipment.
• Stay alert around blind corners and hills where visibility may be limited.
• Follow all posted signs, flaggers, and traffic control instructions.
• Give crew vehicles plenty of room to maneuver.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we complete these system improvements to provide reliable electric service in the Birch Creek area.

In observance of Memorial Day, Vigilante Electric will be closed on Monday, May 25th.

As we enjoy the holiday weekend, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

Our office will reopen during normal business hours on Tuesday, May 26th.

Vigilante Electric will have a contracting crew working throughout our service territory from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

These crews will be testing and treating power poles to help maintain the safety and reliability of our system.

Work will take place in the following areas, including:
• Jones substation (Ramsay, Buxton, Feely)
• Divide substation (Divide, Wise River)
• Silver Bow Transmission line (Butte to Melrose)
• Dillon Salmon Transmission line
• Surrounding areas

Crews will be traveling in white trucks with a Vigilante Electric magnet displayed on the vehicle.

We have sent out phone calls, text, and email notifications to those members who are in the areas where the crews will be working.

Thank you for your patience and support as we continue maintaining and improving our system!
