One of the most expensive mistakes a grain facility can make is treating expansion as a future problem.

"If we double our storage five years from now, where will it go?"

That question influenced the design of Schiff Farms' new rail-loading facility in Delaware.

As the project team put it: "We try to make sure future additions are going to go well and get planned out correctly, so you don't build yourself into a corner."

Future storage, drying capacity and additional receiving infrastructure were all mapped out before the first phase was built.

Help us welcome our newest team member, Gavin, to the TAM Systems team! 👏

Gavin joins us as our IT Manager, joining us as an all-around IT person from fixing things, the management of the tech that needs maintained, and the strategy applied to the managing and fixing of technology. He previously worked in B2B IT consulting for businesses in Central PA, and has also worked in account management, sales, and customer service.

One thing Gavin loves most about IT? Technology is always evolving, which means there’s always something new to learn and improve. Outside the office, you’ll probably find him experimenting with agentic AI tools and apps or out on the volleyball court.

And his wildest adventure so far? Hiking 30 miles on the Appalachian Trail with his mom!

We’re excited to have Gavin on board and look forward to the knowledge, innovation, and support he’ll bring to the team.
