Winter-ready checklist for Dixon, IL crews — three seasonal failures and quick Flink fixes. 1) Hydraulic leaks — Diagnostic: slow or inconsistent blade movement. Fix: replace seals and hoses with Flink HD hydraulic kits; inspect couplings. 2) Worn cutting edges — Diagnostic: reduced scraping performance and gouging. Fix: swap to Flink carbide or bolt-on edges and schedule edge inspections. 3) Spreader calibration drift — Diagnostic: uneven salt/sand spread and complaints on coverage. Fix: run a Flink spreader calibration check and replace worn agitators or control components. We’ve built these parts in our manufacturing line to withstand harsh winters — proactive checks save downtime and keep crews safe.
