Your HVAC system works its hardest during the summer heat, which means it’s breathing in a lot more than usual. ☀️💨
Think of your air filter like your system's lungs. During summer, dust, pet dander, pollen, and outdoor allergens pile up fast. When that filter gets completely clogged, two things happen: 1️⃣ Your energy bills spike because the system has to work twice as hard to pull in air. 2️⃣ Your AC can literally freeze up or break down from lack of airflow, leaving you stranded in a hot house. 🥵
📆 How often should you change it? A good rule of thumb is every 30 to 60 days if you have pets or allergies, and at least every 90 days for a standard household. If you haven't checked yours since spring, this is your sign to go swap it out today!
