Massive work underway at Regal’s Donora, PA facility.

Our team is currently processing (30) NYS Department of Transportation girders — each measuring an impressive 140 feet long, 11 feet tall at mid-span, and weighing approximately 94,000 pounds.

Coating System:
✔ SSPC-SP5 White Metal Blast
✔ Thermal Arc Spray Metallizing – 85/15 Zinc/Aluminum Wire (12.0–16.0 mils DFT)
✔ Sealer: Sherwin-Williams Rexthane Clearcoat (0.5–1.5 mils DFT)

These projects showcase the level of preparation, precision, and ex*****on required to deliver long-term corrosion protection for critical infrastructure.

A special shoutout to Regal’s own 6’4” painter, Jason, stepping in as the scale reference for the team — helping demonstrate just how massive these girders truly are.

Last night we had the honor of celebrating with the Pittsburgh Business Times as Regal Industrial Corporation was recognized as the 23rd fastest-growing company in the region — with a growth rate of 74.11%!

Awards are great… but the people behind them are better.

To our customers: thank you for trusting us with your steel, your projects, your challenges, and sometimes your absolute “need-it-yesterday” emergencies. We wouldn’t be here without your loyalty and partnership.

🚧 Big Moves Out of Millville, NJ! 🚧

This week, Regal’s Millville, NJ facility teamed up with Bay Crane and High Steel Structures LLC to load a few monster box girders that have been stored at our yard for the past 4 years.

In total, Regal stored 107 girders for the NJ DOT I-295 / I-76 / Route 42 Direct Connection Project — a massive infrastructure effort improving one of the most congested interchanges in the state.

With 27 acres of dedicated storage area, Regal is proud to support large-scale, long-term projects like this.

These specific girders pictured weighed in at 206,000 lbs each — another example of the heavy lifting and coordination our teams handle every day.

Proud of the collaboration between Regal, Bay Crane, and High Steel in making this move happen safely and efficiently. 💪

🔹 Regal’s Blast/Prime Plate Line Is Rolling!

Regal’s blast/prime plate line has been busy knocking out high-volume projects at our Donora PA facility— from heavy structural plate to road and bridge applications.

We’ve been blasting and priming plate with Sherwin-Williams Protective & Marine Coatings Zinc Plate Ultra, a weldable zinc primer designed for excellent corrosion protection and compatibility with downstream fabrication and field topcoats. Perfect for structural steel and bridge components that demand long-term durability and easy welding in the field.

In parallel, our team has been blasting and coating road plate with Carbonyte SkidGuard, a high-friction, wear-resistant surface coating built to stand up to traffic abuse and provide traction and safety on temporary roadway applications.

Another busy week of coating performance and precision — keeping our customers’ projects moving and protected.

Regal Industrial's field crews are proud to be refurbishing McKeesport’s historic Sherman M4A1 tank in Renziehausen Park.

This World War II–era monument, located at the intersection of University and Arboretum Drives, is undergoing a full restoration — including repairs to its foundation, priming, and painting — to preserve it for years to come.

For context, military records show that the U.S. Army manufactured 49,230 Sherman tanks across a wide range of versions, making it one of the most significant armored vehicles of the war.

We’re honored to help restore a piece of American history for the McKeesport community.

Regal is hard at work loading up these massive 54" OD pipe piles for shipment!

Our team:
🔹 Welded the connectors
🔹 Sandblasted to SSPC-SP10 Near White Metal Blast
🔹 Applied Sherwin-Williams Protective & Marine Coatings Zinc Clad 4100 primer
🔹 Finished with Sherwin-Williams Targuard topcoat

We’re processing 77 pipe sections, each ranging from 90 to 110 feet in length and weighing up to 80,000 pounds.

Next stop: Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, VA.

Milestone Alert at Regal!

Regal began processing well site storage and production tanks in 2009 for the Marcellus and Utica Shell markets — and we’re proud to share that we have processed our 2,000th tank at our Donora, PA facility.

Each tank undergoes complete surface prep and finishing:
Interior and exterior abrasive blasting
Application of internal liners
Exterior priming and polyurethane finish
(Some tanks also receive ground protection coatings depending on end use.)

Since 2009, our tank services have continued to evolve — now including:
✅ Onsite blasting, painting, and linings
✅ Refurbishment of existing tanks in-shop
✅ Freight and logistics coordination
✅ Onsite welding and tank modifications
