PROJECT DETAILS: FRESH PRODUCE PACKHOUSE AND ABATTOIR FACILITY
Mkhondo Fresh Produce and Red Meat Abattoir Agri-Hub entailed the establishment of the following:
1. 30 Cattle per day throughput abattoir
2. 30t per day Pack, Process, Storage and Dispatch facility for fresh produce (Pack House).
As indicators, the scope also included the following:
a) Entrance road & gates,
b) Administration building,
c) Dirty ablution building,
d) Alkaline hydrolysis building,
e) Workshop building,
f) Wash bays,
g) Canteen Facility
h) On site Retail Facility
i) Retail store building,
j) Storm water and earthworks,
k) Wastewater handling systems and other support facilities
