The best day in Dover was a huge success!

Apple Harvest Day takes place this Saturday, October 3, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in downtown Dover. A festival this size would not be possible without the support of our amazing sponsors!

Apple Harvest Day's 42nd year is in full bloom in downtown Dover. It's hard to recall a better day for Dover's "homecoming," as some call it, with clear blue skies, temperatures in the 60s, and fall's bounty starting to light up the foliage. There's plenty to see, do, and experience at this year's festival, from Third Street and Franklin Square, down to upper Henry Law Park and the Rotary Arts Pavilion. Food, crafts, music, games, c***r, and so much more. Kudos to the Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce for making some seamless adjustments this year with the loss of lower Henry Law Park. The festival hasn't skipped a beat. Hope to see you there. If you're worried about parking, head over to the Brady Sullivan complex (formerly Liberty Mutual) at 100 Liberty Way, and take a free shuttle to the festivities. Apple Harvest Day continues until 4 p.m.

PSA to Dover residents this upcoming weekend!

Oak Street will be closed to through traffic from Central Avenue to Broadway for two weeks beginning Monday, Sept. 28, to support water utility work on Central Avenue. The closure will be in place during construction hours, Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The intersection will reopen during evenings, weekends, and any day when work is not occurring.

Additionally, southbound Central Avenue traffic will be detoured from Abbott Street to Sixth Street via Mount Vernon Street during construction hours. Detour signs and flaggers will assist motorists, but delays should be expected.

Proud to help fuel a full day of hands-on training for our local first responders. 🔥

D.F. Richard Energy donated the propane for a daylong Propane Emergencies class attended by members of Wolfeboro Fire-Rescue, Center Ossipee Fire Rescue, Middleton Fire & Rescue, and Sandwich Fire.

Led by Lt. Bill Wrigley of West Ossipee Fire, the course covered the latest propane safety equipment and emergency-response practices before putting those lessons into action through live-fire drills.

A special shoutout to our own John and David for being on-site to assist throughout the training!

Thank you to all the firefighters who participated and continue training to keep our communities safe. We’re honored to support the important work you do.
