From Parliamentary Parties to Black Tie Banquets: Our Senior Team Hit the Town(s)! 👓

It’s been an exciting (and very social!) week for the epipole leadership team; filled with incredible opportunities to connect, celebrate, and champion innovation across Scotland with some truly amazing people 🙌

On March 12th, our CEO, Sarah Jardine, was invited to the The Scottish Parliament to discuss the future of Scotland’s critical technologies. Engaging with industry leaders and policymakers at such an influential event highlights the growing recognition of cutting-edge medical technology, and we’re proud (and excited!) to be part of the conversation! Sarah had a great time catching up with everyone, so thank you to Alastair McInroy for the invite! 🍾

Just a day later, on March 13th, our CFO, Paul Williams, swapped spreadsheets for style as he dressed to the nines for a black-tie evening at the Scotland Life Sciences Awards - a night dedicated to celebrating the achievements of Scotland’s thriving life sciences sector. It’s always inspiring to see the innovations and collaborations shaping the future of healthcare, and to see the movers and shakers in this very exciting space 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️

Thank you to everyone in attendance, for the invitations themselves, for the networking opportunities, and for the great fun that was had along the way too – we appreciate you all! 🙌

Huge thanks to the ever awesome Claire Meikle and our hosts at the Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa, for the event yesterday, as the epipole team headed out to sunny St Andrews for the Career Ready graduation ceremony! 🥳

Congratulations to Daniel Gilmour, and all the other Mentees that graduated yesterday - we are all very proud of what you have accomplished, and we look forward to seeing what the next steps of your journey(s) looks like!

Sarah Jardine, CEO of epipole, and enthusiastic supporter of the Career Ready program said: "This was a super exciting day for everyone involved, as we see our Mentees graduating from the 18 month program - huge congratulations and applause to Daniel and all the other students graduating. Wow - what an incredible time we had at Vision Expo East in Orlando last week! 🌟

From reconnecting with old friends to meeting so many passionate professionals for the first time, this event was a fantastic reminder of why we do what we do! 🙌

The conversations we had; about the future of optometry, the evolving needs of practices, and how cutting-edge technology like our epiCam is shaping the industry, left us more energized and exited than ever!

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, shared insights, and got hands-on with our ultraportable retinal imaging camera. It was amazing to see the excitement around revolutionizing retinal imaging - especially from those looking to replace bulky/outdated desktop models with a smart, portable, flexible solution 👨‍⚕️👩‍⚕️

Roses are red, violets are blue… Shooting promo videos is harder than it looks, who knew? 💘

This Valentine's Day, I just want to say: I love my colleagues ❤

Not in a weird, corporate, “we’re a family” kind of creepy way (ew, no) - but in a rather more genuinely real way. The way where you spend hours trying to film serious product videos for a serious bit of technology, only to end up with an outtakes reel longer than the actual ads 😂

So, ahead of the new videos going live next week ( ), here’s an example outtake video from our recent promo shoot, featuring the ever amazing Pamela Corsar (and Robert Turner behind the camera), because if we’re going to tell the world about our game-changing retinal camera, we might as well show how much fun we had along the way too (Spoiler: there were a lot of laughs) 😂
