The NICU Nursery has been one of the most meaningful parts of our Parade experience this year.
In the middle of the chaos of getting everything finished, it gave us a chance to slow down and reflect on how lucky we are to live in Southern Utah — a smaller community that offers so much.
There are three parts to this project:
First, to show our appreciation for the doctors, nurses, and staff in the NICU. They work around the clock to care for babies and families during what can be some of the most trying days of their lives.
Second, every dollar donated goes directly to the NICU and the needs they have right now. With 40,000+ visitors walking through the homes, even a few dollars each can make a big impact. You can scan the QR code in the room, find our ad in the Parade magazine, or drop a donation in the hot air balloon in the garage of Home #6.
Third, all of the furniture in the nursery will be gifted to a family currently in our local NICU. Along with that, we’ve received diapers, wipes, blankets, books, and other items to help fill their nursery and support them on their journey.
We are incredibly grateful for everyone who has donated. And a huge thank you to the NICU team and the Intermountain Foundation for volunteering their time at the booth and helping us spread the word.
This community truly shows up.
