Researchers at the Blumberg Institute, led by Dr. Ju-Tao Guo, in collaboration with Dr. Yanming Du and Dr. Jinhong Chang, are developing innovative therapies aimed at achieving a functional cure for chronic hepatitis B.

Their work includes BSBI-3-02, a next-generation HBV capsid assembly modulator designed to disrupt the hepatitis B virus lifecycle, as well as a liver-targeting innate immune modulator to strengthen the body's antiviral response.

🧬 PABC Member Spotlight: Aprea Therapeutics

Exciting progress from PABC member company Aprea Therapeutics, which is expanding development of its investigational WEE1 inhibitor, APR-1051, following encouraging early signs of clinical activity in patients with advanced solid tumors.

Aprea is accelerating enrollment in its Phase 1 ACESOT-1051 trial and expanding development into additional biomarker-defined cancer populations, including uterine serous carcinoma and Cyclin E–overexpressing platinum-resistant ovarian cancer.
