Hey neighbors! As winter sets in here in North Central Washington, it’s time to make sure your well water system is ready for the cold! Freezing temperatures can cause major issues for well systems, and since we’re in a rural area, we don’t want to be left without water when we need it most.

🔧 Here’s what you can do to prepare:

Insulate and heat your pump house – Make sure your pump house is properly insulated, and consider using a small space heater or heat lamp to keep it warm. A well-insulated pump house can make all the difference in preventing freezing equipment.

Insulate exposed pipes – Wrap any exposed pipes with foam, heat tape, or pipe insulation.
