October 19, 2026 — Today, we had the privilege of hosting Iowa State Representative Jennifer Smith, Ph.D., who represents Iowa’s 72nd District in Dubuque County.

During her visit, we provided a tour of our facility and discussed the many financial and environmental benefits solar energy brings to the communities we serve. With rising energy costs being a growing concern for families, businesses, and communities, we also discussed how Eagle Point Solar can help provide solutions that reduce electricity expenses, improve long-term energy cost predictability, and support a more sustainable energy future.

Thank you, Representative Smith, for taking the time to visit us and for your continued support of the solar industry!

Behind every safe solar install is a lot of know-how, and last week our team got to share some valuable knowledge.

Todd Lindquist and Greg Grant led a training session for building and electrical inspectors on what to look for when reviewing solar installations. Training included a step-by-step framework for evaluating solar PV code compliance across every stage of the inspection workflow.

They covered everything from plan review, roof and ground mounts, fire code, electrical components, safety labeling, rapid shutdowns and more.

Solar is only as good as the install behind it, and we're proud to have a team that knows this work inside and out and is willing to share that knowledge to help raise the standard across our region.

(10/12/26) Jim Pullen, President & CEO stopped by the KWQC Quad Cities Live studio to provide a breakdown of how to read your electric bill.

Every utility has a slightly different bill format. However, one thing is often very consistent, the cost you pay per kilowatt hour of electricity along with various fees associated with transmission, time-of-day, demand response, energy efficiency programs, franchise fee etc.

As shown in the video, a solar array can produce one kilowatt-hour of electricity for nearly a third less than buying the same energy from the utility. Would you rather pay 19.2¢ per kilowatt-hour or would you rather pay 5.9¢?

That's what one Eagle Point Solar client pays now, nearly 70% less for every kilowatt-hour. What would that kind of savings mean for your operation? New equipment? A cushion for a tough year?

Our new blog looks at where business and farm energy costs come from and how to take control of them.
