Edwards Cast Stone was founded by Jim Edwards, and began as Edwards Construction Company. The company quickly grew to become one of the largest construction companies in eastern Iowa. In 1969, Jim added precast concrete to supplement the residential and commercial concrete work he currently provided. Jim enjoyed working with precast products so much that he sold Edwards Construction Company and de

voted himself to working with precast. He initially cast large items like septic tanks and wall panels, and also some Cast Stone trim pieces. Jim wanted to become a one-stop precast and cast stone shop, so in 1990 Edwards Cast Stone began producing dry cast in addition to wet cast. Now Edwards Cast Stone is one of only a few companies in the country that cast both dry and wet stone daily. Edwards Cast Stone shop staff and management team are all experienced technicians. Their experience with field application of Cast Stone means they have the skill to meet the needs of any Cast Stone project. Our staff helps us earn our reputation every day for excellence in Cast Stone. We guarantee everything we produce and deliver, and guarantee to meet or exceed every client's expectations. Since Jim's retirement in 2006, ownership and management of the daily operations for Edwards Cast Stone has been turned over to his sons.

Celebrating National Manufacturing Appreciation Week with a look at where it all happens!

On Tuesday, we welcomed 30 community members for a facility tour presented by the Dubuque Chamber. We kicked things off with a presentation from our President, Doug Edwards, sharing our journey from our founding in 1964 to our current role as a leader in the cast stone industry.
