Unison Solutions, Inc. is a U.S.-based manufacturing company specializing in the design and production of biogas conditioning and upgrading systems. Unison offers two biogas upgrading technologies, BioCNG membrane upgrading technology and Amine upgrading technology. All systems are manufactured, assembled, and factory tested at our facility in Dubuque, Iowa. Unison also has a service team to perform equipment start-up, commissioning, and training along with ongoing maintenance. Our expertise in purifying biogas includes hydrogen sulfide removal, siloxane removal, CO2 removal, compression, moisture removal, and gas quality monitoring. Unison also provides gas analysis and replacement media services for any biogas systems.

Not every biogas stream needs the same conditioning system.

At Racine’s wastewater plant on Lake Michigan, low hydrogen sulfide levels let Unison move H₂S removal to the dry side of the system, upstream of siloxane removal. The result is a smaller footprint and simpler piping.

The cleaned biogas fuels engines that generate roughly 56% of the plant’s energy needs. Unison designed, built, and factory-tested the system at its 90,000-square-foot facility in Dubuque, Iowa.

Good ideas shouldn’t die in a suggestion box. Unison’s Isabel Pena will make that case today at the Iowa Lean Consortium Annual Conference.
Isabel, our Continuous Improvement Manager, is co-presenting with Michael Wood, of Scientific Safety Alliance, on how giving employees more than one way to speak up builds trust and gets ideas off the ground.
Isabel’s work has made it easier for everyone at Unison to be heard. We’re proud to see her share it on a bigger stage.

Congratulations to Capital Region Water on the 2026 Energy Vision Leadership Award.

Their project turns Harrisburg’s wastewater biogas into renewable natural gas and injects it straight into the utility’s pipeline. The RNG sales help fund the utility’s customer assistance programs.

Unison designed, built and factory-tested the 400 scfm pretreatment and upgrading system that cleans that biogas to pipeline quality.

We're proud to be part of a project that other cities can follow.

Next stop: Hawaii.

This 500 scfm siloxane removal system is headed to a municipal wastewater treatment plant, where it will clean biogas it heads to the plant’s reciprocating engines.

The system is 100% redundant, with two treatment trains of four vessels each. The piping lets operators bypass any single vessel while the others stay online, so maintenance doesn’t mean shutting down gas to the engines.

It was engineered and fabricated in-house at our Dubuque facility, then left on six semis bound for a California port and an ocean crossing to the islands.
