Smart thermostats are helpful, but they cant fix everything.

If your house is still hot (or humid) even with a smart thermostat, the issue is usually:
 Airflow (dirty coil, clogged filter, duct issues)
 Low refrigerant / leak
 System is undersized or struggling

Thermostat = the messenger. The system still has to do the work.

A lot of people are skipping HVAC maintenance to save money. I get it.

But here are the 3 things that prevent the most expensive summer breakdowns:
1) Change your filter (don’t wait until it’s gray)
2) Keep the outdoor unit clear (2 feet of space, no mulch piled up)
3) Catch low refrigerant early (AC runs nonstop, weak airflow, not keeping up)
