Second new client...Called to say she needed a 2nd opinion. She was told she needed a new $12,000 condenser after the tech opened the electrical panel and showed her this bad capacitor and burnt wires. Was so glad to help resolve her issues for a few hundred dollars including Freon. My first question was did he check the compressor or fan motor? She said not at all. He didn’t even look in that area. I’m thinking- Would you sell someone a new car because the BATTERY on their current car is bad? ABSOLUTELY NOT! We have to get back to being techs and not just sales people. Troubleshoot the problem first. Lol. $12k on a condenser? I’m way too low. But I’m okay with my pricing.

Summer AC Tip: Check your filter and change it if it’s dirty. Should change them every month. Doing too many service calls this Summer which could have been avoided if the customer had changed the filter. Instead now having to clean the inside coils. Remember, filters usually only cost $1-5. Coil cleaning costs more.

I created a special offer. Loved the idea and the name given for it. However I thought about the fact that my pricing is already very reasonable and most feel as if they already received a huge discount. So I deleted the offer.

Just found out about the CashApp. Also learned about the Zelle feature in many mobile banking apps. They both allow you to request and receive funds or payments. Seems like very impressive alternatives to receiving checks. Has anyone used either? What do you think about them?
