CONGRATULATIONS to both the SWE and Women in SOBA clubs for their collaboration and earning the outstanding program of the year award at Fort Lewis College! Both clubs joined together and put on a professional clothing drive event. This gave students the opportunity to grab and try on clothes that were donated to us specifically for this drive. The event was donation based so students got to pick the price in order to stay in their budget. So proud of these women for putting together a great event👏 @ Fort Lewis College

Our Story

To begin our story, we would like to introduce our 2019-2020 FLC SWE Officers: President Katrina Detmer, Vice President Elizabeth Blackwater, Secretary Helene Sharer-Meneley, Treasurer Jessica Shinkle and Monica Fuson, K-12 Outreach Coordinator Jodi James, Media Coordinator Simone Gorman, and Faculty Advisor Dr. Chatterley. Our Society of Women Engineers club was initiated in 2016 at Fort Lewis College to inform women engineers the many opportunities SWE offers when becoming a member; including scholarships. We encourage both women and men to become a member of the club and attend our meetings for updates on what’s next. Please feel free to talk to any of the officers if you have any further questions and/or comments!
