Research in the Wang group aims to answer fundamental questions that lie at the interface of chemistry and biology. We will develop small-molecule based probes and methods to understand genes and pathways of importance to the treatment of cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. Towards this end, we will exploit an interdisciplinary approach that integrates the principles of synthetic chemistry, as

say development, molecular and cell biology, genetics, and proteomics through our studies in the following areas.

It was a fantastic day of chemistry at the 4th Annual Duke Chemistry Research Symposium by the Duke Graduate Chemistry Council - GCC. Colton gave a great poster on his new alkene difunctionalization work and Brett gave a great talk on his recent alkene amino oxygenation chemistry. Excellent work guys!

While Brett is very happy to get a new 500, he's very sad to see the old one go.
