I'm sold on joist tape. Months ago I hemmed and hawed about this tape. Another product to buy? Is it worth it! Well, now I'm convinced that it is worth it. It's a butyl based tape that adheres super well to PT lumber acting like an ice and water barrier. I believe it will prevent future rot and also less twisting/lumber movement.

Try it out!!!!

Simpson's Framing Screws are highly recommended! These are the miniature version of the SDWS T-40's. When I fear that gun nails might crack or blow something apart, I turn to these in order to really mend it all together.
