Heat isn’t as cut and dry as you think. In the world of HVAC, there’s an important factor called latent heat. Removing it (condensation) makes air feel cooler and less clammy, while adding it (evaporation/humidity) makes it feel hotter.

With the potential weather that has been forecast I would like to remind everyone of a few things about your HVAC system

If you have an air to air heatpump (all electric):
Your outdoor fan blades may ice up during freezing rain, sleet and snow. This will cause your fan blades to get out of balance and start vibrating. If this happens turn your system to off, pour hot water on the fan blades and then return the system to regular heating mode.

If you have a dual fuel system ( electric with gas back up):
If your system starts vibrating turn your system to emergency heat until this weather passes. Then pour hot water on the fan blades and them return to regular heating mode.

If your heating system stops working please give us a call @ 731-676-3959 We will try to make emergency service calls as the roads allow.
