What difference can a tooth profile make? Increased capacity, greater wear life, better grip, increased open space for fines to pass through and more.
A sharper tooth profile can change the grip and give you higher surface pressure = better grip between manganese and the rock.
The more aggressive the tooth profile, the greater focused stress = fracture rocks with less energy AND gives you faster discharge of fines.
Fast Fact: Teeth in the center portion of the jaw are designed to concentrate crushing forces at their crowns, giving maximum breaking force. Valleys between the teeth allow crushed material to fall freely to the lower portion of the crushing chamber.
Don't forget: Liners can be designed for specific applications.
Pro Tip: Removing the fines from the feed before it’s passed to the crusher avoids accelerated wear of the jaw dies and increases the crusher’s performance.
