The new Lake Hazel Elementary School has officially broken ground!

Lake Hazel Elementary has served generations of South Boise families, but the existing campus no longer meets the growing needs of the area. The new school will replace an aging campus with a modern school designed to serve the growing student population. By creating welcoming outdoor spaces, updated site amenities, and safer connections around the campus, the project will support learning while carrying the school’s long-standing sense of community into its next chapter.

Congratulations to Trevor Hattabaugh, one of TLG’s very own, and the University of Oregon Fieldscape Fellowship Team, on receiving the 2026 American Society of Landscape Architects Student Award of Excellence in Communications for “What’s Your Sign?”

This project explored the folk art and historic timber-frame barns of Pennsylvania. The creative elements of the project, from the graphic storytelling to the “Broke Back Barn” timber frame, creates a space for thought-provoking conversations about agricultural practices, environmental education, and landscape stewardship.

A generational project is underway at Holy Apostles Catholic Church.

We’re excited to celebrate the groundbreaking of the new Outreach Center, an addition to the Holy Apostles Campus that will create more space for ministry, fellowship, and service to the community.

The new center will include an expanded food pantry, flexible gathering space, and support areas for the organizations and volunteers who make outreach possible. The project is focused on creating a welcoming, functional space that can grow with the needs of the community.

We’re proud to be part of a project that brings people together and strengthens the community of Holy Apostles and Meridian.

Breaking ground on 1010 Jefferson!

We were proud to join Capital City Development Corporation and our project partners to celebrate this exciting milestone for downtown Boise. When complete, 1010 Jefferson will bring a new mixed-use development featuring public parking, commercial space, expanded childcare, bike amenities, and welcoming public gathering spaces. Congratulations to everyone involved, we're looking forward to seeing this project come to life.

We're excited to welcome two talented interns to The Land Group this summer! Please join us in welcoming Anika and Elise to the team.

Anika is pursuing dual master’s degrees in landscape architecture and architecture at the University of Oregon. With seven years of experience as a civil engineer focused on environmental remediation, she brings a unique interdisciplinary perspective to the team.

Elise, a civil engineering student at Oregon State University and a Boise native has a strong academic foundation, she is eager to apply her engineering skills to real-world land development projects while learning alongside our experienced civil team.

We’re excited to welcome Lydia to The Land Group!

Lydia recently graduated from the University of Idaho with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Design and will begin pursuing her master’s in Landscape Architecture this fall. Before moving back to Idaho, she spent 10 years of her childhood in Northern Italy, an experience that helped shape her appreciation for art, travel, and the outdoors.

Prior to pursuing landscape architecture, Lydia was a professional ballet dancer, which strengthened her love for creative expression and gave her the opportunity to travel. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, exploring the outdoors, reading, and learning new things. We’re thrilled to have Lydia join our team!

Our team recently visited Boise State University's new Construction Management building for a site punch walk. This a state-of-the-art facility is designed to prepare future construction leaders. Featuring an all-woman design team, it’s a landmark project for innovation and education.

A new connection for Boise!

We’re excited to celebrate the completion of the Grove Street Pathway, a safe, ADA-accessible corridor connecting downtown Boise to east Boise neighborhoods for pedestrians and cyclists.

This project helps strengthen connectivity, improve mobility, and create more opportunities for people to walk, bike, and experience Boise. We’re proud to have partnered on a project that supports a more connected community.

We’re excited to welcome Jake to The Land Group!

Jake has been in Idaho for three years and recently earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Boise State University. As the youngest of five siblings, with both his father and one of his older brothers working as engineers, he developed an early interest in the field.

Outside of work, Jake enjoys sports, hunting, fishing, hiking, and spending time with friends. We’re thrilled to have Jake join our team!
