🥵🔥 It was 95 degrees out, so I figured I’d make a quick ice cream run for the boys.

Now, was handing out ice cream sandwiches in that kind of heat the smartest idea? Maybe not. 😂 But the crew wasn’t complaining.

The guys are making great progress on our Wynantskill, NY project and it’s really starting to come together. Every day we’re getting closer to the finished product, and I can’t wait to show you the final result.

🔥 PROJECT UPDATE – WYNANTSKILL, NY 🔥

I checked in on the boys at our Wynantskill, NY project today. I left them around 7:30 AM and stopped back in the late afternoon, and I couldn’t believe the amount of progress they made.

The crew has been absolutely moving on the back retaining wall and should have it completed first thing tomorrow morning. Once that’s finished, they’ll roll right into construction of the front wall.

When it comes to building retaining walls, what you don’t see is just as important as what you do see. A wall is only as strong as the base and backfill behind it.

That’s why we take the time to properly backfill, install geogrid where needed, and compact every lift as we build. Compaction in lifts means we don’t just dump all the material in at once. We install and compact it in layers, ensuring each section is properly tightened and stabilized before moving on. This helps prevent settling, reduces pressure on the wall, and creates a stronger structure built to last for years to come.

The details matter, and cutting corners is never an option when you’re building something that’s designed to hold back thousands of pounds of material.

🔥 PROJECT UPDATE 🔥

We officially wrapped up our project in Poestenkill, NY and then headed straight to our next project in Wynantskill, NY which happened to be only about a minute away.

Sometimes everything falls into place exactly how you planned it. That’s what scheduling is all about. When you can line projects up efficiently, it helps reduce travel time, keeps crews productive, and allows us to deliver a better overall experience for our clients.

Now, let’s be honest , it doesn’t always work out that perfectly. But when you have the opportunity to schedule projects strategically, you take advantage of it.

🔥 PROJECT UPDATE DAY 4 🔥

Today started with a stop at our local Stewart’s shop before heading out to check on the boys at our latest patio project. I’m happy to say we’re right on schedule and everything is coming together exactly as planned.

One thing I always stress to our team is that a clean job site is just as important as the finished product. Your job site is a reflection of your company, your craftsmanship, and your professionalism.

We work in neighborhoods, around families, and next to other homeowners. Keeping the site organized, safe, and clean shows respect not only to our clients but also to their neighbors. People notice those things. When neighbors see a professional crew, quality work, and a clean project from start to finish, it builds trust.

🔥 PROJECT UPDATE – TROY, NY 🔥

Our Troy, NY project is really coming together!

When I stopped by the job site, Rafael and the boys had all the pavers cut in and were just about ready for polymeric sand. At that point, all that was left was finishing up the garden and accent walls, completing the sanding process, and putting the final touches in place.

The crew has been moving on this one, and it’s always great to stop in and see the progress being made. The details are what bring a project to life, and the guys have been focused on making sure everything is done the right way.

If all goes according to plan, this project should be completely wrapped up by tomorrow morning, and we can’t wait to show you the finished product.

🔥 NEW PROJECT UNDERWAY IN POESTENKILL, NY! 🔥

The boys got started on a brand new Paver Patio project in Poestenkill, NY this week. Before excavation began, we met with the homeowners, walked through the layout, and made a few adjustments to the fire pit location to make sure everything was exactly how they envisioned it.

That’s one thing we always stress at The Patio Bros communication before construction. Taking the extra time upfront helps ensure the finished product is exactly what our clients want.

I stopped back later to capture some drone footage and then returned the next day to check on progress. The crew is absolutely moving on this one, and it’s coming together fast. If things continue at this pace, they should have this project wrapped up in no time.

💪 Not every day is spent building patios.

Sometimes the work days get away from you, and sometimes you have to focus on your own shop, equipment, and organization to keep everything running smoothly. Today was one of those days.

The boys got a ton accomplished around the shop, and honestly, it’s days like this that I enjoy. It gives me a chance to slow down, check in with the crew, talk about life, share a few laughs, and sit down for lunch together.

We have an amazing group of guys here at The Patio Bros. The work we do is important, but the relationships we build along the way are just as important. A strong team creates a strong company, and I’m grateful for every one of them.

Now we’re loaded up, organized, and ready to roll into our next project in Poestenkill, NY. 🔥

🔥 PROJECT UPDATE! 🔥

The boys wrapped up this walkway and front porch project in just over a day while still delivering the experience and craftsmanship our clients expect.

We did run into a small delay, but that’s part of the process. Once the charcoal border was installed, the homeowners decided it wasn’t the look they were after. Not a problem.

Instead of pushing forward, we stopped, talked through some options, brought over different color samples, and worked together to find the right fit. Communication is everything, and at the end of the day, this is their home.

I think they made the right choice. The Limestone Quarry Blend border ties everything together beautifully and gives the project a much cleaner, more natural look.

This is why we always stress communication. Sometimes the little details make the biggest difference, and we’d rather take the time to get it right than rush through it.
