💙 Making a difference together

Our team has been proud to support both Connecticut Foodshare and Columbus House through ongoing volunteer efforts.

Across three events with Connecticut Foodshare, we’ve now sorted a total of 19,092 pounds of food, helping provide 15,909 meals to neighbors in need.

Last time out: 4,395 pounds sorted → 3,662 meals provided

We’ve also continued our work with Columbus House in New Haven, spending time serving dinner to neighbors in our community and showing up with compassion and care; building connection and support face-to-face.

Our team, along with CNG President and CEO Frank Reynolds, recently spent time with Dyno Nobel Inc. as part of a customer meeting series. Founded in 1865 by Alfred Nobel, the inventor whose legacy lives on through the Nobel Prize, Dyno Nobel has a long history of innovation.

It was a great opportunity to learn more about their day‑to‑day operations and talk about how we can continue to support their work. We value these conversations and look forward to strengthening the partnership.

April is National Safe Digging Month. and we are reminding customers that state law requires contacting Call Before You Dig before starting any excavation project.

Calling 811 or submitting a request online ensures underground utilities are properly marked, helping prevent injuries, service disruptions, and costly damage.

The 21st Annual Energize Connecticut Eesmarts Student Contest is officially in the books!

Over three months, K–12 students from across the state shared creative ideas on energy efficiency through posters, poems, essays, media posts, and more.
