Started getting the pieces together for our electric cooling kit for SBC. Really liked how well it worked for the LS in the modified, so we're keeping it with the change to SBC. Not only frees up horsepower, but also allows for quick cooling between races. Hoping the new pump shows up this week.

Hopefully the block comes back from machine shop this week, and can get started filing rings and assembling.

Well, after getting the model right, got our new camshaft finalized and on order. Much more realistic with 720HP peak, 585+ torque from 4500-6000, and high VE from 5000-7000. Should fit well in our power range and give the response I'm looking for in a slick track driver's cam, but still have enough top end for tacky track. Looking forward to getting it together and to the dyno so we can see how it really compares.

Been working on my custom cam profile for the new engine. Not what you'd think in certain areas to make these 15 degree brodix heads push out the most power. But I really want to get this thing on the dyno to see if it does what the sim says it should.

Over 100% VE from 5000-7500, 600+ ft/lbs torque from 4500-6500, and 793hp peak at 8000 (redline). Again, just projected, but we've found this software to be incredibly accurate over the years.

And so it begins. Got our brand new Summit Racing Equipment true 400 block on Friday. Got a great crank and rods from the broke engine, and new JE pistons coming to match up with the Brodix -12 heads. Controlling it all will be a custom design camshaft by Custom Cams Inc. Really excited to get this thing on the track

We haven't been off this winter, just been busy. Quick assembly job started with short block and parts. Got everything dialed in and few minor fixes/updates and hoping to wrap up and break in soon. Got Scott McDonald Racing LS going together in dad's shop. Hoping to get it on the stand within a couple weeks as well. Yearly refresh for Eric Vaughan Racing getting started soon too. Eventually i'll get to mine. Looking forward to some good seasons for all of our teams, ready to get back to the track.
