Attention Restaurants, bars and brewery owners! With temperatures climbing this week hitting 100+°F, your refrigeration systems will be working overtime.
Here's what you can expect:
• ❄️ Coolers and freezers will take longer to pull products down to temperature.
• 🧊 Ice machines will produce less ice due to higher ambient temperatures and incoming water supply.
• ⚙️ Refrigeration systems will be running longer and harder than normal.
One of the best things you can do is keep cooler and freezer doors closed as much as possible. Every time a door is left open, warm, humid air enters the box. That moisture freezes on the evaporator coils, restricting airflow and reducing cooling performance—which can eventually lead to frozen coils and costly service calls.
Also, make sure your condenser coils are clean. If your system can't breathe, it can't cool efficiently.
A little extra attention this week can help keep your equipment running efficiently and protect your products.
Stay cool, and if your refrigeration system starts struggling, Allen Refrigerated Technologies is here to help.
