We hope everyone had a great first week! For our member spotlight this week, meet Fatima Basit ✨

She is president of Carnegie Mellon Solar Racing and a member of CIA Buggy 🚗

In the fall semester, she did a co-op with Tesla!

When she isn’t busy being an amazing student, you might see her flying a kite 🪁

Renata Melamud Berger graduated from CMU in 2003 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and minors in Computer Science & Robotics. She holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University where she specialized in micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) design & fabrication. Her passion is in bringing technology from early prototype into production readiness. She has worked in various technical and non-technical roles in startups and large global corporations.
