Cleaner Energy

In 2022, a multi-family building in Milwaukee avoided buying approximately 20,000 kilowatts from the grid. That electricity was generated while heating the domestic hot water for the building using a microCHP system.

According to the website, that is equivalent to avoided from:

3.2 gasoline-powered passenger vehicles driven for one year
36,335 miles driven by an average gasoline-powered vehicle

Equivalent to avoided from:

15,877 pounds of coal burned
32.8 barrels of oil consumed
1,724,120 smartphones charged
