At GEM Plastics, we remain committed to producing industry leading HDPE sheet goods. This requires an unending amount of focus, effort and energy as we tackle opportunities and challenges such as the resin market, challenging production runs, repairs, forecasting, equipment and facility expansions and so much more. GEM Plastics was able to send some of our employees through "Lean Boot Camp” offered by Georgia Manufacturing Extension Partnership. The program was extremely beneficial covering topics such as: Applying process improvements, Value stream mapping and How to engage people: every person, every day. This course was meant to be an introductory series into lean for this group of employees with continued trainings to be offered in the upcoming months. We are excited and focused on becoming the industry’s premier supplier of HDPE sheet goods and lean manufacturing plays a big part in our future success.
