Suspended in Time, this is a mantel piece I made well over a decade ago. It came up in my memories and i figured I’d share it. The center piece is suspended by hidden magnets under the wood. Opposite forces that make up this arrangement, but it can also be rearranged in a different form when using attractive forces. Brazilian Rosewood, Mappa Burl and rare earth magnets.

A new / old piece of machinery into the shop today. It was a horse trade for some cabinets. I love old tools and there history, this machine was made to last and I’m sure this won’t be the last shop it sees in its life.

Persimmon writing desk, made for a special 8year old girl with good taste. I was requested to make a version of Knolls model 17 from the 1950s. Naturally finished this wood has some very expressive grain patterns full of color and character. .woodworks
