Crash/Failure Compilation

03/17/2013

Final results: Out of 39 teams, we came in 11th overall. We carried the 9th heaviest payload of 16.5 pounds. Out of U.S. teams, we came in 6th place overall.

03/17/2013

Flight round 6 (final round): Attempted to lift 24.5 pounds. The plane barely left the ground before sinking out of the air and back onto the ground. Disqualified.

03/17/2013

Flight round 5: during our pre-takeoff engine run up, our throttle servo became unresponsive. Had to take a disqualification.

03/16/2013

Flight round 4: even heavier payload and it was a success! Looking very promising right now.

03/16/2013

Flight round 3: we suffered some very minor damage but we had a successful flight with an even heavier payload. Currently flirting with a top 10 position.

03/16/2013

Flight round 2: most teams experienced even more crashes. Collisions with trees, wings snapping off in mid-air, and nose-dives into the ground. But we were able to successfully fly a payload without crashing! Things are looking really good so far.

03/16/2013

Flight round 1: A lot of planes have crashed, but ours flew successfully! Very very windy down here.
