Hello all, with extraordinary support from my family and friends, I have the privilege to announce to you the opening of my business. Mount Vernon Construction Co.
To give you a little back ground, shortly following high school I tried the college route and realized quickly it was not a good fit for me. I then was offered an opportunity at a large construction company in Metro Detroit that covered all of Michigan and parts of Ohio. I started at this company as a laborer in 2013 and progressed through the company and the last 4 years I was an estimator and project manager.
The past 9 years in this field introduced me to a plethora of great carpenters, painters, specialty tradesman and sub contractors , insurance agents, real estate agents, etc.
Whether it be construction or another service involved job I truly get the most out of meeting new people and leaving them with a quality product.
I really honed in my skills and relationships this last year and knew the next step was to take all I learned and begin my own outfit. Following the 4th of July I opened my company, and began working. Due to some of the relationships and friends I have, I thankfully have been able to find work to keep me busy since I started.
I am labeling my self a general contractor. This is because if I can not do something for you, I guarantee I have a contact I have personally worked with before that will give you an honest price and do the job correctly.
The remodeling industry is a difficult line of work to navigate for home owners. With all the fly by night contractors out there, it has been my experience that people end up paying more and going with bigger companies because they don’t feel safe or trust the person they meet. I truly believe I can assist people with providing fair prices and quality work.
I currently have a carpenter and two laborers that assist me with jobs. I can complete any interior or exterior carpentry, painting, flooring, and minor electrical and plumbing. I also have crews ready to complete specialty items such as concrete, roofing, and carpet.
