Josh is our newest Lead Carpenter/Superintendent focusing on our remodeling projects and new home punch out. Josh has been in construction for 10 years. He and his wife Kim, live in Rutledge and have two children, Ben and Brianna. When not working with Pilot, Josh competes in team roping within the PCA (Professional Cowboy Association).

Here is a recent email from another one of our happy homeowners (thank you Duane and Maureen). What can we do for YOU to help you fully enjoy your home in 2013?

"We purchased a lake house in July of 2012 with the intent of building out some of the unfinished space in the lower level of the home. Being new to the area we were not familiar with the local builders; so after conducting our own research, speaking to several folks in the area and conducting a series of onsite interviews we selected Pilot Builders to complete the work. We chose Pilot Builders as we believed they met everything we were looking for with respect to quality, service, and price.

After completing our recent remodeling project where we finished our basement as well as increased our living space through the addition of an outdoor entertainment area inclusive of a fire pit, etc it confirmed our belief that Pilot Builders is the best value on Lake Oconee; they exceeded our expectations and delivered a finished product that we are now excited to call “home”.

Not only did they do a great job during our remodeling project but they also assisted us in correcting some deficiencies the original builder left us with and have been critical in ongoing service at our home. Throughout the projects they keep us informed of the progress through regular emails and pictures and were always easy to reach. They offered assistance at every turn, made thoughtful recommendations and suggestions and were extremely responsive. I found them to be timely, trustworthy, open, honest and fair which were key attributes in allowing this project to go so smoothly. We highly recommend the entire Pilot team and look forward to doing our next project with them in the spring!"

A: In roofing lexicon, a "square" is equal to 100 square feet of area to be roofed. Builders and roofing contractors purchase roofing to the nearest square, though as an owner you should insist on a more precise estimate and purchase to mitigate cost overruns and waste.
