I will be unavailable to do any quotes or undertake any new construction projects for a little while. For the next 3 months I will be going through police academy through the North MS Law Enforcement Training Center. Upon graduating I will be with Tupelo PD full-time. I will still be able to do construction projects on the side, but not in the same capacity as I have been for the last 4 years.

This project was finished yesterday.
This is a 40’ X 60’ X 12’ enclosed barndominium with an 8’ lean-to front porch, an 8’ lean-to back porch that runs into a 25’ X 24’ carport, several doors and windows, and concrete under the entire building.
The interior is framed with all rooms having an 8’ ceiling. On one end there are (x2) bedrooms with closets, a bathroom, and a hallway with closest on each end. The opposite end has the master bedroom, master bathroom, master closet, and pantry. Separating the two ends of the house is the kitchen and living room area which have vaulted ceilings running up to the bottom of the roof trusses.

A few things were added once the project was underway that I will not be finishing. C&K Construction will be (1) finishing the ceiling and installing the vaulted ceiling joists, (2)putting plywood down for the attics and installing the attic doors, and (3) adding a 2’ skirt on the front and back porches to match the perimeter truss-covering sheets.

Dirt work was done by North MS Dirt, Gravel & Excavation. All of the dirt used to build the pad was dug from the customer’s hills. The concrete was poured and finished by Triston Armstrong and his crew. All building kit materials were provided by Blue Steel Manufacturing. All interior framing lumber was provided by Specialty Sales and Supply.

Finished this project a couple of weeks ago for a repeat customer in Oxford.
We did a 30’x92’x12’ roof only pole barn and also added a 14’ lean-to to an existing building. Materials were supplied by Reed's Metals of Tupelo, MS.
There was additional work being done with these buildings as we were finishing so they don’t look complete, but we installed only the pole barn kits and just up the point that was requested of us. We did none of the additional framing and did not do the concrete.

Wanted to share these before and after pics of the dirt pad at our recently finished Batesville site. I really can’t thank North MS Dirt, Gravel & Excavation enough for the great job they did.

These are before and after pics of a recently finished deck renovation in Oxford, MS. The deck had previously been replaced twice with different kinds of lumber, each time eventually leading to hazardous, rotting boards. The customers chose to go with composite decking boards and hidden fasteners this time. To add stability, we added new 2x8 joists in between all existing joists. The deck is roughly 10’ x 80’, 16’ off the ground, and connects to the first floor. There are also two small landings at ground level that we redid.

This is a recently finished project in Batesville, MS. It’s a 30’ x 40’ x 10’ enclosed/insulated pole barn with a walk door centered on each end wall and an 8’ roof extension in each end. The original plan was for an 8’ x 10 roll up door to be placed on the far right and far left side of the front sidewall, but after commencement the customer decided to add two 9’ x 8’ roll up doors in between the two 8’s. There wasn’t enough space to put them all in the same wall, but we were able to recess the inner two doors and still keep the customers/ vision intact.
Materials were provided by Magnum Metals, LLC. Tree clearing and dirt pad was done by North MS Dirt, Gravel & Excavation.

We installed a 12’ X 12’ X 8’ peak porch with a 8/12 pitch, a 31’ X 8’ covered walkway with a 1/12 pitch, and posts on top of existing concrete. The customer also wanted lathing and bead board on the ceiling area. We loved the way this looked when we finished this project!

Finished this 30'X72'X12' building for a customer in Verona, MS.

Initially this customer had a contractor for his building, but the contractor left and never came back to finish. The concrete, posts, and trusses were installed when we took over. We installed the insulation, roof and wall sheets, outdoor wood fencing on the sides, roll up doors, walk doors, windows, framed the bathroom and concession stand area, and ceiling and wall panels. Another happy customer and very grateful to help!
