At RFA Engineering, we believe great engineering starts with understanding the machines firsthand.

This spring, our Dubuque, Iowa location completed another successful round of operator training, giving our engineers valuable hands-on experience with the equipment they help design, build, test, and improve. By getting behind the controls and experiencing these machines from an operator’s perspective, our engineers gain practical insight that helps them make better design decisions and develop solutions grounded in real world use.

This weekend, the Dubuque RFA Group, friends, family, and the YPC Run Club laced up for the annual Alzheimer’s Benefit 5K & Half Marathon!

RFA was proud to sponsor the race and also field the second-largest employer team for the event. Our amazing crew and friends showed up in full force—taking on the half-marathon and 5K.

Together with nearly 340 participants, the event raised an incredible $14,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association! We’re grateful to support such an important cause and celebrate the great employees, families, and community groups who ran alongside us.

RFA Engineering is proud to hire graduates from the University of Dubuque and to be an active employer in our local community.

We recently had the opportunity to participate in a curriculum building session with the University of Dubuque's Engineering program, sharing the technical skills, professional qualities, and industry expectations we value most in new engineering graduates entering the workforce.

Strong partnerships between higher education and industry are essential to developing the next generation of engineers. By helping shape a curriculum that aligns with evolving workforce needs, we're creating meaningful opportunities for students while supporting the continued growth of the Tri-State region's economy.

We appreciate the opportunity to collaborate with the University of Dubuque as it continues to strengthen and evolve its engineering program, and we look forward to building an even stronger pipeline of engineering talent for our community.

RFA Engineering Earns John Deere’s Highest Supplier Rating for 13th Consecutive Year; Receives “Partner-level Supplier” and “Supplier Innovation” Awards for 2025

RFA Engineering has earned recognition as a Partner-level supplier for 2025 in the John Deere Achieving Excellence Program. The Partner-level status is Deere & Company’s highest supplier rating. The Eden Prairie, MN- based company was selected for the honor in recognition of its dedication to providing products and service of outstanding quality as well as its commitment to continuous improvement.

Suppliers who participate in the Achieving Excellence program are evaluated annually in several key performance categories, including quality, delivery, process alignment, value creation and relationship. John Deere Supply Management created the program in 1991 to provide a supplier evaluation and feedback process that promotes continuous improvement.

RFA Engineering was also selected as a recipient of a John Deere supplier innovation award for 2025. The award is presented to a select group of suppliers who have demonstrated innovation in a product or service they provide to John Deere.

Award selections are based on four factors – creativity, feasibility, collaboration, and bottom-line impact. John Deere created the Supplier Innovation Award in 2009 to promote innovation in the company’s supply base and recognize suppliers who think creatively.

RFA Engineering is a supplier of services to John Deere’s operations in multiple cities.

Company employees accepted the recognitions during formal ceremonies held earlier this year in Moline.
