Over half a million pounds of steel for Oklahoma City’s next generation.

Waldroop Steel is proud to be providing approximately 275 tons of steel for the new MAPS 4 Youth Center – Phase 1 in Oklahoma City.

The 48,115-square-foot facility combines conventional structural steel with a 12,470-square-foot pre-engineered metal building system. The metal building will include structural support for the basketball goals and divider curtain.

The exterior will feature Berridge 22-gauge TCN Terra Cotta roof panels, along with BR-12 and RS-11 wall panels.

The completed youth center will include a gymnasium, learning labs, classrooms, exercise and weight rooms, a demonstration kitchen, and community gathering spaces.

From engineering and detailing through manufacturing and delivery, Waldroop Steel is coordinating the complete steel package as one Oklahoma manufacturer.

Some steel structures spread across the skyline.

This one rises into it.

Waldroop Steel is proud to be part of the new Air Traffic Control Tower at Wiley Post Airport in Oklahoma City.

Reaching 95’-6” to the top of the parapet—and 104’-8” to the lightning protection—this is no ordinary steel package.

The structure brings together:

• Multiple framed levels
• A tapered transition into the control cab
• Octagonal cab geometry
• Exterior catwalk and roof support
• Integrated architectural panels, glazing and signage

Tower projects demand precision. Every elevation, connection and interface must work together from the foundation to the cab roof.

262,000 pounds of Oklahoma steel—headed to one of Oklahoma City’s most recognizable destinations.

Waldroop Steel has been selected to engineer, detail and manufacture the structural steel and sheet metal package for the new amphitheater stage at the Oklahoma City Zoo.

At approximately 131 tons, the framing will support a purpose-built performance venue featuring a curved stage front, tall framed walls, rigging access and an exposed structural face that becomes part of the architecture.

Projects like this mean more when they are close to home.

Today, that vision is coming to life at Southern University at Shreveport, where the next generation of SUSLA Jaguars will soon have a new home to compete, grow, and make history.

The Harter’s Pump Transfer Station & Water Department Office in Eau Claire, Wisconsin is continuing to take shape, and it’s exciting to see another Waldroop Steel project coming together in the field.

This project showcases the versatility of pre-engineered metal buildings, combining an operational transfer station with a modern office facility designed to meet the long-term needs of the community.

Project Highlights:
✔️ Clear-span transfer station for maximum operational efficiency
✔️ Administrative office with a second-floor mezzanine
✔️ Engineered to handle a 56 PSF roof snow load, meeting the demands of Wisconsin winters

Waldroop Steel is proud to be supplying the structural steel building system for the new Balko Schools Ag Education Facility in Balko, Oklahoma.

Designed to support the next generation of agricultural leaders, this nearly 12,000-square-foot facility will provide students with a modern environment for both classroom instruction and hands-on learning.
