Our first piece of advice is keep those eyes on the road! 👀
It may seem like a given but it's important.

That tractor.
That semi.
That combine.
That farmer driving all of those things...
that farmer can’t see you!

Farm equipment is big and the blind spots are REAL.

That farmer doesn’t want to make you late and sure as heck doesn’t want to get in an accident with you.

So slow down.

And pass with care.

And ALWAYS stop at the corners.

Harvest is here and there will be more and more semi and equipment traffic on the roads. I promise that farmer will get out of your way as soon as there’s a safe opportunity to do so!

And that farmer. That farmer has a lot of responsibility this time of year. That crop that they’re harvesting could make or break the future of their family farm. That crop will become the food, fuel, and fiber that you consume every single day. Harvesting that crop is stressful and dangerous and farmers have died doing so.

So next time you get held up behind a farmer on the road, slow down and say a little prayer for them. Pray for safety and bountiful harvests. Pray for a good nights sleep to give them a clear mind in the field. Pray for the farmer and pray for their family. Help farmers get home safely to their families. ♥️♥️

Come into any Big O Tires and have your alignment checked for FREE!
📍Every 15,000 miles, or as recommended in your owner’s manual.
📍Also, have it checked after buying new tires and when you replace a rack-and-pinion steering unit or other steering parts.
📍Improper tire alignment will shorten the life of your tires as well as cause poor handling.
📍If your steering is stiffer than normal or the vehicle pulls to one side, you probably have an alignment problem

Keeping this much gas in the tank can help prevent damage and extend the life of your car.
For starters, it’s important to understand how your gas tank works. In your gas tank is a fuel pump.
This pump runs from the gas tank to the motor, supplying fuel. As the pump runs, it heats up—but when it’s submerged in gas, the fuel acts as a coolant to stop the pump from overheating.
If you’re running on less than a quarter tank of gas, the pump will overheat and end up failing sooner than it should.
What’s more, driving around on empty can cause condensation in the walls of your gas tank, diluting your fuel, and causing rust.
