We are proud to continue to support Sarah Bush Lincoln!♦️
Tom and Autumn Grunloh of Effingham recently donated $25,000 to the Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Foundation’s Expanding Hope Campaign, to help fund the expansion of the Regional Cancer Center. Construction is expected to begin this month.
When the Regional Cancer Center opened in 2016, its 17 infusion bays comfortably served patients. Today, the Center provides nearly twice as many treatments, with annual visits rising from 56,000 in 2020 to over 104,000 last year. The $17.2 million project will add 15,000 square feet to the existing 21,500-square-foot facility.
“Tom and Autumn are wonderful, generous people who do so much for others,” said Amy Card, Director, Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Foundation. “Both personally, and through Grunloh Construction, they’ve supported much growth and many programs at Sarah Bush Lincoln and we are forever grateful.”
The Cancer Center expansion will include 34 chemotherapy infusion bays, expanded treatment areas, eight new exam rooms, a larger waiting room and additional parking. Dedicated space will also be created for non-oncology medical infusion as well.
“Autumn and I are happy to support this project for a variety of reasons,” said Tom, Vice Chairman of the SBL Health Foundation Board of Directors. “When we heard about the growth in patient volume, we knew the need to expand was absolutely necessary. But also, the Regional Cancer Center has provided care to many of our friends, including Bobby Ronchetti who passed away last year. Bobby had a long battle with the disease and the care he received there was phenomenal.”
