Twenty years in the solar industry is a big deal! 😄🌤

Solar is not a short-term purchase. It is a long-term infrastructure investment that requires thoughtful design, quality installation, and ongoing expertise. Many solar companies enter the market quickly, but far fewer remain long enough to stand behind their work years later.

Tick Tock Energy has been designing and installing energy systems for two decades, through multiple policy changes, incentive programs, and technology shifts. That longevity means experience you can rely on and a partner who understands how to build systems that perform long after installation day.

When you choose a solar provider, stability matters. Twenty years proves it!

Are you part of a nonprofit or public facility that is also a critical service provider?

The Illinois Solar for All program offers exceptional incentives for qualifying organizations such as churches, food banks, libraries, hospitals, and public safety facilities.

Program highlights include:
• Solar incentives covering roughly 50 percent of installation costs
• Guaranteed electricity savings of 65 percent or more
• First 15 years of system maintenance included
• Lease-to-own options with no upfront cost
• Eligibility for federal Direct Pay tax credits and bonus credits

When combined, incentives can cover up to 90 percent or more of total project costs.

Qualification depends on census tract eligibility. Verifying eligibility early is critical to maximizing benefits and avoiding missed opportunities.

Why Solar Plus Battery Storage Matters Now:

Solar is no longer just about saving money. It is about control.

By pairing solar with battery energy storage, farms and businesses can:
• Maintain operations during outages lasting minutes to hours
• Reduce peak demand charges through peak shaving
• Protect critical equipment with seamless backup power
• Improve overall power quality and system stability

Battery storage combined with solar can form the backbone of a private microgrid, allowing your facility to operate independently when utility power is unavailable.

With increasing grid strain across Illinois, businesses that invest in on-site energy and storage are positioning themselves for greater reliability, resilience, and long-term financial stability.

How reliable is your electricity supply?

Even a power disruption lasting less than one second can cause significant financial damage for farms and businesses. Longer outages can shut down production entirely.

Unplanned power disruptions can:
• Increase scrap rates in manufacturing
• Create unsafe conditions for livestock and poultry
• Delay customer orders and production schedules
• Damage sensitive equipment during hard shutdowns
• Force staff downtime during extended outages

As electricity demand continues to rise and reserve margins shrink, reliability planning is no longer optional. Solar, battery storage, and facility power audits are becoming essential tools for protecting operations.
If you experience even occasional outages, it may be time to quantify the true cost of downtime and explore solutions that keep your business running when the grid does not.

Take action today and plan for reliability before it becomes an emergency.

We made it to spot #243 on the US Top Solar Contractors Award. This is our 11th consecutive year named and jumped 67 spots from last year. We’ve been on the list longer than most solar companies been in business. We’re proud to have energized 3.4 Megawatts (MW) of new commercial, farm & residential solar systems in central & southern Illinois. We couldn’t have done it without our dedicated staff, electricians from Pals Electric, other trusted vendors and consultants, and above all OUR CUSTOMERS!

One of our staff Kyle Lamichhane was in Washinton, DC week and represented Tick Tock Energy at the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEAI) event "Save Main Street Solar". In the series of four pictures in this article, Kyle is shown 3rd from the left. Great job Kyle and that's for helping advocate for preserving the residential solar tax credit on Capital Hill. Residential solar tax credits and others for commercial systems are all stake in this current budget bill under debate in Washington, DC. We have a big group of residential customers in central and southern Illinois that have benefited. Solar is one of the most impactful ways consumers can take to generate a significant portion of their electricity needs and save money. Over 20-years a solar system in many cases can save the equivalent to what is paid in property taxes. The solar tax credit provides critical support to help "the little guy" take control of a major expense and fight electricity inflation. This website "Save Main Street Solar" provides more details on what's at stake for the solar consumer and small business in the US. We're one of the small businesses home grown in Effingham, IL which will be impacted. The big impact is on "YOU" the potential future solar-powered home owner. Call your elected Senate and House Reps and ask they fight to preserve the solar tax credit.

Residential solar delivers energy savings, energy resilience, and energy freedom, to everyday Americans. Don't let Congress strip that away.
