A more open layout with clean, modern details throughout.
For this renovation, Green Valley Contractors opened the right side of the staircase to match the open design on the left. The work included removing the load-bearing wall and header, installing the necessary structural support, and carefully matching the existing plaster so the new opening blends naturally with the home.
We also boxed in and finished the left side of the staircase to create a cleaner, more modern appearance. New LVP flooring was installed throughout the space, along with matching LVP bullnose pieces on the steps for a consistent, finished look.
Additional improvements included a new front entry door, a new side door leading to the sunroom, a new fireplace mantel, new baseboards, and recessed lighting throughout the living area.
To give proper credit, the homeowner completed the painting, and the staircase railing was installed separately by another contractor. We’re proud of the structural work, carpentry, plaster matching, flooring, lighting, and door installations that helped bring this transformation together.
